Why we stand behind it
Bois de Balincourt is inspired by Marie's family home, nestled deep within an ancient forest. Along a trail fondly called Lover’s Lane, generations wandered under towering trees, surrounded by stillness and memory. This signature scent layers creamy sandalwood and cedar with warming cinnamon and nutmeg, anchored by earthy vetiver — a romantic, comforting fragrance with effortless depth.
All fragrance is intensified by the warmth of your own body: apply 1-2 sprays at the pulse points of your body (wrists, neck), or in the creases of your knees and elbows for a stronger, more enduring scent. Reapply as needed.
In 1792 Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars was a pioneer in French botanical history. During the French revolution, he was exiled to Madagascar, La Reunion and the Mauritius islands where he discovered a vast array of plant specimens. Ten years later and bearing a collection of over 2000 plants, Louis Marie was finally able to return to France where he was elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences.
